In comic books and movies, super powers are often bestowed by accidents. The Hulk obtained his great strength via accidental irradiation. Spider-Man received his super powers when bit by a radioactive spider. My super powers are the result of a traumatic brain injury in July of 2006. I became an obsessive compulsive who takes notes and records a great many things due to memory loss.
Imagine my surprise when I learned a former landlord claimed I was not a tenet. In his answer to my complaint / lawsuit, my former landlord stated in his filing that:
“Plaintiff was not a tenant and defendant was not a landlord”
Later, in his pretrial statement, the landlord was more specific about his lie, saying:
“Defendant denies plaintiff was a tenant as he was living with defendant rent free.”
Starting at about 12:46 of this audio recording has the landlord’s seemingly drunk wife / partner state thy hadn’t charged me rent for the first six months. I recall it as 6 weeks while I lived on the couch and they got my room ready. She also says I’d been living there for 2 years. But lets say it was 6 months. What about the other 18 months?
I think it is clear the landlord lied to the court and his wife / partner got drunk and screwed up another one of his scams.
What I truly do not understand is why lie at all. The landlord’s wood deck rotted. The landlord’s piled his garbage on the landlord’s deck. The landlord’s chicken, duck and turkey scattered the garbage and hid the rotten section of the deck. Isn’t that why the landlord has insurance.
Instead, the landlord is demanding a jury trial where my lawyer will no doubt play the audio of his seemingly drunk wife / partner calling him a liar, talking about shooting her guns, and expressing concern that the guy with no legs, broken prosthetics, and one working arm who is lying in a hospital bed poses some sort of sexual danger. Maybe she thought I would levitate, chase her up stairs and rape her?
I’d like to say all I can think of is OK this will be entertaining. But there is a child in that filthy home. How could they want talk of drunk people running around shooting their guns? Court stuff is all public record.
