With its slender 2 1/4″ blade, this would make a great bodice or neck knife. The blade was hand forged from 1075 high carbon spring steel over a coal and coke fire. It was normalized, heat treated and drawn / tempered with traditional methods. The tempering process was done with the help of a charcoal pit.
The tang is secured inside a section of shed white tail antler. First I poured the lead free pewter bolster in place. Then I back filled with a green opalescent resin to fill any gaps between the antler and the tang. I added extra resin to the rear to form the green opalescent pommel you see.
